There are more than 1000 individuals buried in this cemetery. According to the booklet published by the Ottawa Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society, this cemetery was originally Methodist, begun in 1850 although no records are known to exist prior to 1960, other than the tombstones themselves, and there are probably many more burials here than records show...In 1925 it became a United Cemetery. Before 1850, most Methodists used the Christ Church on Conc. 2 just up the road or else in Goulbourn. The oldest stone is...burial taking place in 1841...
