This is a concrete and steel barbque grill at the Davidsonville Family Recreation Center (DFRC) in Davidsonville, MD. The site had a former brick grill that had been built as an Eagle Scout Service project in the early 1970's but it had fallen to pieces and was unuseable. The concrete slab foundation of the original grill was still intact so the scouts removed all the old brickwork, constructed concrete forms, fabricated a rebar cage and poured 1200 lbs of concrete to hold a steel grill that was fabricated from scratch to serve the adjacent picnic pavilion. A total of about 180 to 190 man-hours went into the project.

James is an Eagle Scout with Troop 454 of the Baltimore Area Council. After turning 18 James stayed on with the troop as an Assistant Scoutmaster serving as the New Scout Patrol Adviser.
