The memorial is a dark granite monument. It simply inscribed, "Audrain County Veterans Memorial". Below which is inscribed the various wars and the names of the veterans who gave their lives in service to the country during each war. In the upper corners of the monument are the symbols for the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Located northwest of the courthouse. The is a concrete walled recessed area with brick walkway. There is a planter in front of the monument.
