The St Paul Cemetery is adjacent to the former St Paul Catholic Church. The church is considered the mother church for Catholic churches in northeast Missouri, western Illinois and southwestern Iowa. The cemetery dates to the founding of the parish in in 1828, the present stone church dates to 1860. The cemetery continues as an active cemetery even though the church closed in the 1960s. The cemetery is the oldest active church cemetery in Ralls County. The cemetery has several hundred graves with some families have many generations buried here. The cemetery is the final resting place of three veterans of the American Revolutionary War.
