This hall of fame was only recently inaugurated and only two baseball greats have been inducted since that time. Cal Ermer was inducted because of his turnaround of the fortunes of the local team in the early 1950s and his 28 year career in Chattanooga. Tommy Lasorda was inducted because of the tremendous contributions he has made to the sport of baseball as a whole.
