The bell tower of this church is open to the public and has orientation tables to show you exactly what it is that you can see from the tower.

It is possible to climb both the tower and the spire, the combined height of which is 90 metres but the orientation tables are only on the tower which is approximately 60 metres high.
The staircase starts off quite wide, but becomes a narrow spiral staircase before you reach the top of tower. It has 250 steps from the bottom to the top of the tower.
The tower contains a large carillon with 48 bells that automatically chime on the hour. There are flashing lights inside the tower to warn you when the bells are about to start to ring.
Although part of Copenhagen the church is in the district of Christianshavn on the nearby island of Amager. From the tower there are views of the island and the mainland.

Sundays and public holidays. 10:30-16 will be closed for access to the tower at. 15:45. On 6-8th December and 12th-15th December: Thursday - Saturday. 10-16 Sunday at. 10:30-16 will be closed for access to the tower at. 15:45. during heavy rain and wind tower closed temporarily for safety reasons
