The first place to look for a community's flag, coat of arms, etc. is usually city hall. The little village of Midway, however, is an exception.

This flag was found flying at the Kettle River Museum, across Highway 3 from the town. It flies at the western edge of the museum, just behind the train station.
The flag of the Village of Midway consists of two red maple leafs above wavy blue and white lines above wavy topped solid blue with a single star within. Symbolically, the two red maple leaves are Canada and the single star within the solid blue is the US, as Midway sits immediately north of the Canada-US border. The wavy blue could symbolize the Kettle River, which flows through the town, and the wavy white could symbolize the surrounding hills.
See Flags of the World for a rendering of the flag.
Midway is situated in the southern interior of British Columbia on the border with Washington State. It lies west of Grand Forks and Greenwood on Highway #3, within the Regional District of Kootenay Boundary and immediately east of the Okanagan Valley. Its history more or less parallels that of the Columbia & Western Railroad and the Kettle Valley Railroad, as it is the terminus of the former and the starting point of the latter.
Though the railroads are long gone, the rail bed passing through is now the terminus of the Columbia & Western Rail Trail, which runs from Castlegar to Midway, and the beginning of the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, which runs from Midway to Hope, BC. They are a part of the Trans Canada Trail.
