Woods Cross, named for an early settler by the name of Daniel Woods, started out as and remained a small agricultural community on the western shore of the Great Salt Lake north of Salt Lake City for many years. Urban sprawl has completely engulfed the community and there is nothing to distinguish it from its many neighbors up and down the Wasatch Front.
