Pedestrians and bicyclists traveling along Hwy 111 are welcomed with a nice concrete bridge to pass over the Deep Canyon Stormwater Channel. There's a bronze plaque located on the SW corner of the bridge that reads:

CITY OF INDIAN WELLS
DEEP CANYON PEDESTRIAN/BICYCLE BRIDGE

Dedicated November 22, 2002

Mayor Conrad Negron, Sr.
Mayor Pro Tem Robert A. Bernheimer
Council Member Percy L. Byrd
Council Member Ed Monarch
Council Member Mary T. Roche

I could find no other information on this bridge other than a PDF document that comprises a transportation enhancement projects list and this particular bridge cost a total of $393,000 in federal and state dollars to construct.
