When North Carolina finally completed this section of I-26 (opening in 2003), a scenic pull-off was created to allow a final view of the Black Mountains before travelers continued north into Tennessee. There is a close, covered view or a 0.1 mile steep paved walkway to give a higher vantage point. The latter really will get your blood pumping.

No other facilities except for a couple of trash bins are available here.
