The Coventry Veterans Memorial is immediately east of the large Nathan Hale Obelisk in Nathan Hale Cemetery. The memorial consists of a 30-pound Parrot gun mounted on a 4' by 4' by 4' granite cube which is rounded at the top. The mounting rests on a 5' square granite plinth which has a smooth finish around the margins and on the top.

The memorial has been refinished and appears to be in excellent condition. The gun has a shiny black finish. Inscribed on the muzzle of the gun is the code: 4235. No 152, 1862. WDF A.M. 4.2. A recessed panel on the front of the pedestal is inscribed in large capital letters:

1861 - 1865
