This piece of history lies near the old convict trail near St Albans.

Established in 1836 the Settlers Arms Inn was a stopover for Cobb and Co’s arduous Sydney to Newcastle trip on the Great North Road. The Settlers Arms Inn is built from convict-hewn sandstone blocks and is classified by The National Trust as one of the oldest hotels in Australia.

The water trough is out the front of the Settlers Arms Inn dating back to 1836.
