This large Ship's Screw is half-buried in a small garden at the entrance to the Coronado Cays Yacht Club at 30 Caribe Cay Blvd North on the Silver Strand south of Coronado, California.

This large bronze screw is approximately 9 feet in diameter indicating that it came of a ship of substantial size. With several Navy and commercial shipyards in San Diego Bay a screw of this size would not be difficult to acquire, but would be rather expensive just because of the scrap value of the bronze alone.
