The JVC partial globe has been an iconic fixture of Times Square since 1999. An advertising vehicle for the JVC electronic company, the partial globe is the eye-catching feature of a larger LED billboard high up on the corner of 43rd Street and Broadway. A bas relief representation of a hemisphere of the earth accurately depicts the mountain ranges of North America, South America, Africa and Europe. A 3.5' high by 45' LED ticker, which advertises the company, is located along the equator. The partial globe is enhanced with fluorescent paint by ArtFX Murals.
