A round green single faced dial, slightly convex with gold numerals and hands. This is mounted near to the apex on the stone building forming the old boiler room in what was then the Elsecar Colliery Workshops.
Colliery closed in 1984 and the workshops sold off in 1989. They were taken over by Barnsley Metropilitan Borough Council and turned into the Heritage Centre. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited on the 25th March 1994.
