The Zoo’s botanical collections have more than 800 plant species and 7,400 individual plants.  The botanical collections include geographic collections representing Africa, Eurasia, Australia, North America, and South America; landscape collections representing southern California and the native southwest; and special collections of browse, poisonous, medicinal, culinary and economic plants.

The Zoo is open every day of the year, except Christmas Day, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
