A giant 30' square chess/checkerboard located in the tourist area of Marigot has a bleacher type seating for spectators. It seems more likely that the stone inlay board was constructed for the more time consuming game of chess and doubles as a checkerboard. The four seating levels can easily accommodate 50 spectators. The venue is in a very scenic location few feet from picturesque Marigot Bay.
