Dieser 20 km lange Rundwanderweg kann an verschiedenen Stellen begonnen werden. Die verlinkte Karte zeigt die möglichen Parkplätze. Es ist auch möglich, die Runde am Bahnhof von Bad Dürkheim zu beginnen, wie ich es gemacht habe. Die angegebenen Koordinaten zeigen auf die Villa Rustica bei Wachenheim als Einstieg.
Für die wichtigsten drei Sehenswürdigkweiten aus der Römerzeit habe ich eigene Waymarks angelegt.
Von Wachenheim (siehe Waymark WMG6Y6 für die geschichtlichen Details) geht es in die Innenstadt von into Bad Dürkheim und dann den Berg hinauf zum römischen Steinbruch "Kriemhildenstuhl" (siehe Waymark WMG752). Danach geht es an anderer Stelle wieder hinunter und durch die Weinberge zur römischen Kelter bei Ungstein (siehe Waymark WMG74Z). Der Römerrundweg ist mit einem eigenen Schild markiert, es zeigt zwei Römer, die Reben tragen (siehe Fotos).
This 20 km trail can be started at multiple locations, please see the linked map for parking. You may also start at the main railway station in Bad Dürkheim (so did I). The trailhead coordinates point to the Roman villa rustica in Wachenheim.
For the three main archaeological excavation sites there are separate waymarks available. If you start at the coordinates (see Waymark WMG6Y6 for the history part) you can walk through the vineyards into Bad Dürkheim city and rise up to the Roman stone pit "Kriemhildenstuhl" (see Waymark WMG752 for the history part). Afterwards you can walk down again and visit the Roman winepress at Ungstein (see Waymark WMG74Z for the history part). The trail is marked with a sign of Romans carrying wine (see photos).

No special restrictions, but especially hiking to the stone pit "Kriemhildenstuhl" is an ascending trail.
