We were in the area looking for benchmarks, and spotted this sign.

Being we just moved from Westbank, we recognized "Kelowna Strutters" on the sign. We sure got a chuckle out of it.

The Kelowna Strutters is a local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. They are very active promoting public awareness of hunting, fishing and conservation.

If you continue to Salmo via the Waneta-Nelway Road, be aware that if you continue past the paved section, it is unpassable during the winter and not too much better during warmer weather. The road may have washed out areas, being dangerous to pass. A four-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended.

The good news is that the sign is on the paved section and it's safe to drive to its location if you start at the west end, off of Highway 22. Use caution during the winter.
