Side one of the monument lists 76 names in alphabetical order from Alford to Kimzey. Side two lists 77 names from Kirby to Ziegler. These may be the names of survivors of Pearl Harbor and each name also lists the ship or command to which each person was attached at the time of the surprise attack.
