This is a sculpture I'm not sure too many locals know about. The location is rather remote, a side street close to a school, but way off the entrance area. There's neither a plaque nor any other hint, so I had to do some research, but all I could come up with is that it was created by sculptress Gisela Kemper and put up in 1960. However, the lack of information inspires imagination. I once had a geocache there and called it Jumping Jack Flash, suggesting it was meant to show Mick Jagger in his younger years... That's nonsense of course, but I still kinda like the idea and to me it will always remain Jumping Jack Flash.

Diese sportliche Bronzestatue ist womöglich auch manchem Einheimischen unbekannt. Sie steht in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße, zwar in der Nähe einer Schule, aber weit entfernt vom Eingangsbereich. Da es weder eine Plakette noch sonst irgendein Hinweisschild gibt, musste ich ein wenig recherchieren, konnte aber nur herausfinden, dass die Künstlerin Gisela Kemper heißt und die Figur 1960 aufgestellt wurde. Nun denn, der Mangel an Information befeuert die Imagination: Ich hatte mal einen Geocache da liegen, den ich Jumping Jack Flash genannt habe, um den Leuten weiszumachen, das solle Mick Jagger in seinen jungen Jahren darstellen... Kompletter Blödsinn natürlich, aber irgendwie gefällt mir die Idee immer noch, und so wird es für mich wohl immer Jumping Jack Flash bleiben.
