This monument was created and erected in 1994 through the sponsorship of several wildlife organizations and others. It is just south of the town of Salmo on highway 3 (The Crowsnest Highway) and is in the parking lot beside the Salmo Community Radio building.
"This monument is a tribute to the wildlife of this area and is dedicated to those organizations and individuals whose responsible stewardship has ensured and will continue to ensure the survival and growth of all our wilderness resources."
