West Kootenay Animal Hospital was established in 1967 by Dr. Peter Morgenthaler. The original facility served the area for over three decades. In May of 1997 Drs. Rob and Elaine Klemmensen purchased West Kootenay Animal Hospital and quickly outgrew the original building. A new, modern Animal Hospital was constructed on the same property in the summer of 2007.

After Hours Emergencies and Holidays: If you have an emergency outside of our regular office hours, please call our office and follow the directions given to reach a doctor on call. After hours call is shared with other local veterinarians to provide round the clock care for our community.
