Garrick Hotel Built in 1906, the building is recognized for the Chicago style architecture. Originally known as Wellington Hotel, it was built and owned by merchant J. Arbuthnot. E.W. Hanna owned and operated the establishment during the 1910's. From 1935 to 1945 the Hotel was owned by Shea's Winnipeg brewery. In 2007 Garrick Hotel was featured in the Hollywood film "Assasination of Jesse James" starring Brad Pitt. Today Garrick Hotel is acknowledged for its downtown bar - where it's all about good friends and cold beer.
