The theater building was constructed by the CCC in the fall of 1933. At that time Offutt Air Force Base was known as Fort Crook. The Nebraska district headquarters for the Civil Conservation Corps was located at Fort Crook from 1933 to 1937. The brick building served as the base theater for several years now it is used by the USAF Heart of America Band.
