I was looking through the waymarking categories to see if I could add anything of value to them, when I came upon this category. It really intrigued me as I love fossils and in fact have my own Earthcache called "Jake and Emily's Ordovician Fossil Hunt (GC1T93F)" at this very location. There are a ton of great fossils here and anywhere and everywhere you look, you'll see fossils. I'm told that it's a great spot to rockhound by the locals. The kids and I certainly got a lot of fossils from there and most are just laying there with no manual removal required.
The fossil zone is located at the bottom of the ridge in it's basin. A lot of people go up the ridge, but when you make your way to the location, keep going to the basin and you'll start to see the sedimentary rock formations on the ridge wall, then as you look around, you'll see a ton of fossils at your feet. so enjoy, have fun and be safe.
Cheers

P.S. While you're there, you may as well do the Earthcache as well.
