Constructed in 1932 completed in 1933, the Two Rivers Post Office Building at 1516 Eighteenth Street has proven to be a functional workhorse and has remained the city post office into the 21st century. The lobby areas display the charm and attention to detail devoted to offical buildings in its era of construction.

The Architectural Style is Colonial Revival and the Architect was Perce Schley an architect from Milwaukee and the Supervising Architect was James A. Wetmore. James A. Wetmore (1863-1940) was an American lawyer and administrator, best known as the Acting Supervising Architect of the U.S. Office of the Supervising Architects from 1915 through 1933. Wetmore is frequently and incorrectly described as the "architect" of the many federal buildings that bear his name.
