This elevation mark is located at the summit of Bannock Pass, about 10 miles NNE of Leadore. The cap is in a ten inch square concrete monument about 100 feet northeast of road centerline and very near the continental divide, just barely in Montana. The cap was set by the U.S. Geological Survey in 1930 and was marked R6. The benchmark is shown on the Deadman Pass topographic quad as BM7681.
