In Boston's North End neighborhood, along Richmond Street, is a door that has a stained glass design with a letter prominently positioned.
The door is on Richmond Street in a recessed entrance. The frame is painted green, and the glass area, about 4 ft by 2 ft, is filled with stained glass. Much of the installation is transparent, showing the curtains behind. Prominently placed is a script letter C.
There is no sign over the door, but the windows displayed bottles of wine. There is a sign to the west that has the following:
"V. Cirace & Son
Purveyors of fine wines, spirits, gift baskets and cigars
Established 1906."
A sign in a window states:
"Featured on the Food Network, Emiril Live, TV Diner, Phantom Gourmet, and Chronicle."
Another one states:
"Selected #1 Top Retailer in America"
I have some concern about the ownership of the location. The main entrance to V. Cirace & Son is at the corner of Richmond and North Street, and it has an awning with the name. This shop has no sign and didn't look that open. Together with the signs described above, I'm inclined to think that it is a side entrance to the same shop.
