Traditionally Moriah has been interpreted as the name of the specific mountain at which this occurred, rather than just the name of the range.
Mount Moriah is a mountain located in Coos County, New Hampshire. The mountain is part of the Carter-Moriah Range of the White Mountains, which runs along the northern east side of Pinkham Notch.
The summit, 4,049 ft, is approximately 5 miles southeast of the center of the town of Gorham. Mount Moriah is flanked to the northeast by Middle Moriah Mountain and to the southwest by Imp Mountain.
You can hike to the summit by taking the Carter Moriah Trail at N44 22.960 W71 10.164.
