The Franklin Children's Garden in Toronto (visit link) has several sculptures with characters from Canadian author Paulette Bourgeois' Franklin the Turtle children's books.
The gates leading to the Garden have two swinging sides resembling tree limbs...made of steel or aluminum with sculptures depicting several animals and insects. In addition to a praying mantis, dragonfly & spider, the visitor can also see a snail, vulture, turtle...and vines.
