This triangulation station is located along Idaho Hwy. 28 about 10 miles northwest of junction with Idaho Hwy 22. The cap is about 50 feet northeast of highway centerline in ten inch square concrete monument. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1950 and was marked KIRCH.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1950 (WRH) STATION IS LOCATED, AIRLINE, ABOUT 47 MILES SOUTHEAST OF LEADORE, 28 MILES NORTHWEST OF TERRETON, ALONG STATE HIGHWAY 28 WHICH RUNS THROUGH THE LEMHI VALLEY. IT IS AT A SIDE ROAD AND A SIGN SPRING CANYON. STATION MARK, STAMPED KIRCH 1950, IS A STANDARD BRONZE DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A 10 INCH SQUARE CONCRETE POST THAT PROJECTS 3 INCHES ABOVE THE GROUND. IT IS 52 FEET EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 48 FEET SOUTH OF SIGN SPRING CANYON, AND 5.7 FEET NORTH OF A WITNESS POST.
