Located in the Concordia City Park in a small grove of trees, directly in front of a bronze statue of a young man with the inscription: To the Young Men of Cloud County Who Have Fought the Nation's Battles. Interestingly enough, while Concordia officially became a town on Jan 16, 1871, it was voted the county seat on Jan 4, 1870, meaning it was elected the county seat before the town was created.
