De vogelhut, met bank, kijkt uit over het derde ven van het Leersumse Veld. Afstand 2,5 km van parkeerplaats langs de gele route. Het gebied rond de plassen is van 15 maart tot 15 juli niet toegankelijk, de hut is wel bereikbaar.
Hoe er te komen:
De toegang met parkeeplaats is gelegen langs de N226 (oostzijde) tussen Leersum en Maarsbergen. Een andere manier om met een kortere loopafstand bij de hut te komen is door op de A12 de afslag Maarsbergen, Leersum te nemen. Vanuit het oosten: onder de A12 door en meteen links, vanaf het westen onderaan de afslag rechtdoor. U rijdt dan langs de A12 in oostelijke richting. Na 1,5 km linksaf richting Overberg. Dan na 2,2 km in de bocht rechtsaf slaan richting SVR-camping. Vlak voor de camping is een parkeergelegenheid voor 4 auto's aan de bosrand. Sla hier het pad in naar het Leersumse Veld. Al snel ziet u de plassen liggen, sla rechtsaf. Aan de overkant van de plas ziet u de hut.

The birdwatching cabin, with sofa, is overlooking the third of the so called ’ven’ of Leersumse Veld. Distance 2.5 km from parking along the yellow trail. The area around the lakes is closed from 15 March to 15 July (bird breeding season), the cabin however is accesable.
