The statue of the founder of Foster City stands in front of city hall. Foster City was developed by real estate developer T Jack Foster. The city was developed by Foster, who was a retiree from Pebble Beach, CA. In the 1970s, the city became incorporated.
In this statue, Foster is standing, holding a cigar in his hand. He's wearing a suit, with his left hand in the jacket pocket. He's positioned slight;y sideways. On the marble base, the following is engraved: "T Jack Foster - Founder of Foster City." The statue itself in made of bronze and sits on the pedestal on a bronze base.
