Built in 2009 as a public works project, this park lives up to its name, bringing a smile to all who enjoy its beauty. The sound and feel of the cascading water, the beautiful flowers, and the whimsical animals place on the rocks among the falling water and in the pond below are sure to delight.

디자인 개선 사업을 추진하면서 2008년도 국토 해양
부 추관 “공공시설 디자인 서범사업” 공모 전에 당선되
어 상 사업비를지원받아 조성하였습니다.
공원 명칭은 “완도” 의 빙그래 웃을 “ “ 자의뜼
을 빌어 사람들을 언제나 기분 좋게 하고 미소
짓게하는 공간임을 나타내는 정겨운 우리말 이름
이며 전 국민에게 공모하여 선정하였습니다.
누구나 주인이된 마음으로 아끼고가꾸어 항상
사랑받는공원이 되었으면 합니다.

SMILING PARK
Smiling Park, in accordance with the government’s policy of emphasizing the improvement of scenic design in the coastal regions, was undertaken in 2000 as a public project.
The name of the park, “Wando’s Smiling Laughter,” means that whenever people feel good and smile, the emptiness will be filled by the familiar name of our country as a projec for all of the people.
Whoever would become a master must always treasure and cultivate love received from this park.
