On the road between Dover and St Margaret's at Cliffe are two memorials to the World Wars. This memorial is to the Royal Regiment of Artillery and 127 AAA Gun Battery of the United States Army.

The memorial is a stone which stands on a stepped plinth. The plaque reads:
'This monument was erected
in memory of all ranks of the
Royal Regiment of Artillery
and of the 127 AAA Gun Bt
United States Army who
served in the Dover area
TO HONOUR THOSE WHO LIVED & DIED
IN THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM
1939 to 1945
THIS MONUMENT WAS
DEDICATED
15 AUGUST 1986'
