These tennis courts are located at Golden Gate Heights Park, on one of San Francisco highest hilltops. A short stone staircase leads from Rockridge Drive up to a gate to the courts. Tall trees of the park surround the court fence often producing shaded conditions. Midday is best for sunlit play, assuming it's not foggy up here. A second gate opposite the street entrance leads to a playground next to the courts and the inner park trails.

The court surface looks weathered and pine needles from adjacent trees get blown onto the courts.
