The Salvation army Citadel at 311 S. W. 5th has an adjacent concrete block garage building to the east, at the corner of Harvey. On the west side of this painted concrete block building is a mural that extends the full length. It is a happy mural, inscribed "Youth Cornerstone 03". Cornerstone is a youth program of the Salvation Army, offering encouragement and opportunities to teens and pre-teens in the inner city areas of the country.

A rainbow of wavy lines extends across the wall, with items painted within circles. These include a Dove, the American and Salvation Army flags, a City Skyline, the founder William Booth, A Map of North and South America, a Flame, the Salvation Army Shield, a Wreath and a Star.

This is a colorful mural that catches your eye in the otherwise drab surroundings. It is a nice addition to this building and a fun project for the youth.
