This stairway is a connector from the Anza Trail and Bay Area Ridge Trails near Rob Hill Campground down to the Coastal Trail. The top of the stairway is at a parking area for the Immigrant Point Overlook. At the bottom, it reaches a connecting path to the California Coastal Trail.

The stairway steps are formed from wooden ties set into the ground and there is no handrail. The stairway winds its way down the side of a grassy covered hill.

Posted coordinates are at the top of the stairs. The descent is around 110 feet. The coordinates at the bottom of the stairway are N37 47.733 W122 28.714.
