The Farmers State Bank of Hortonville was chartered by the state but in the early 1930's the bank changed to the Farmers and Merchants Bank of Hortonville which I think was federally chartered.
The Vault is still in side the building. The name of the bank has been replaced by the name of the architectural firm. Above that is the date the building was built. The entry still has BANK in mosaic tiles.
