Librarians were unable to tell me much about the origin of this statue, but it is impressive all the same. This statue is a full-size replica made of a white stone, perhaps it is a plaster casting. It has been in the library for at least 6 months.

I have waymarked the closest library entrance. enter these doors and turn north through the library entrance. You will see the statue about 75 feet into the building. It will be situated just west of the reference desk. You can also get to it from the library main entrance by turning left and crossing the sky-bridge into the section of the library for adults.
