In the Chestnut Hill neighborhood that straddles the Boston and Newton city line, is Boston College, which has a multi-sport arena that includes use as an ice hockey rink.

The letting on the outside of the building is the Silvio Conte Forum. According to the Wikipedia article, it is known as the Kelley Arena when it is used for ice hockey, though the official site by the Boston College Eagles athletic association site only uses the Conte Forum name.

The arena has 7884 seats for hockey. The facility was opened in 1988 to replace another rink on campus. The architect was Sasaki Associates, and the builder was Richard White and Sons. It was named after Silvio O. Conte who was a U.S. Congressman and alumni of Boston College.

This facility is home to both the men's and women's hockey teams. Boston College is a formidable foe in this sport. Just a couple days ago, in fact, the men's team won the NCAA "Frozen Four" tournament!

The arena is not generally open to the general public. However, through the BC Flynn Recreation Complex, skating instruction and ice skating is available. Someone with a BC ID can take up to 5 people as guests - so if you find someone - you're in!
