Station recovery (1974)

Recovery note by National Geodetic Survey 1974 (jrs).
The Station Mark, Reference Marks 3 and 4 were recovered and found to be in good condition. The distance and direction to the Reference Marks compared favorably with the 1971 data. At the request of the State Highway Department the Azimuth Mark was destroyed and a new Reference Mark 5 was established as an Azimuth Mark.

The 1971 description is complete and adequate with the exception that the Azimuth Mark, Reference Mark 5 is located on the left on the south side of the road. Reference Mark 5 is a standard disk stamped DELTA SOUTHEAST BASE 2 1971 NO 5 1974 AZ, set in the top of a round concrete monument that is 12 inches in diameter and projects 5 inches above the ground surface. It is 31 feet east of the center of State Highway 26, 12 feet south of an irrigation ditch, 3 feet east of a metal witness post set in a north-south fence and 4.5 feet northeast of telephone pole number 370.
