This Queen Anne style Victorian house at 2640 Steiner Street in San Francisco, California, was the scene of the movie, Mrs. Doubtfire, starring Robin Williams and Sally Fields. What makes this location interesting is the fact they come straight out and say the actual address in the film.

In the film out-of-work, cartoon voice-over artist Daniel Hilliard (played by Robin Williams) was thrown out by his estranged wife, Miranda (played by Sally Fields). Daniel disguises himself as a Scottish housekeeper and nanny, Mrs. Iphegenia Doubtfire, to get a job caring for his own children.

Today there are many noticeable changes in the house from the movie. Two large trees are planted in front at the curb. The front stairway is now brick and the front door has been remodeled. A chandelier at the front door has been removed. The color and architecture style is still the same.

Movie or TV Show: Mrs. Doubtfire.

Year Released or First Aired: 1,993.00
