Hebron Lutheran Church was organized from German immigrants in the early 18th century. A log chapel was first built here. Seeking to construct a more formal place of worship, the church sent a delegation to England, Holland, and Germany on a fundraising trip, which was successful and also recruited an assistant pastor. The sanctuary was built in 1740, and then later expanded in 1790 to include a pipe organ. It has been in continuous use since its construction with a small congregation worshipping here.

The congregation is currently led by Pastor Patti Covington. Hebron Luthern is active with ministries into the rural community. Their calendar shows AA plus Boy and Cub Scouts.
