This is the smallest of three lime kilns along this limestone edge. Built in to the slope, like the others.

Another grade 2 listed structure. In very good condition. Bushes growing out of stonework. (visit link)
All three were for sale in 1821. Document held at Barrow Records Office.

In 1850 ish the Furness Railway was connected to the main line, effectively rendering these worthless.
