NGS X 11 RESET 2004, KS, is a National Geodetic Survey (NGS) Vertical Control Mark located in the northeast angle of the intersection of US Highway 283 and V Road about five miles north of Hill City, Graham County, KS. The disk is located about 79 feet north of the centerline of V Road, about 55 feet east of the centerline of US Highway 283, about 50 feet south of bench mark disk 16 JES (1974) (PID = KG0489), about five feet west-northwest of a fence corner, 2.5 feet west of a barbed-wire fence, 2.0 feet west of an orange Carsonite witness post, and in the top of a round concrete monument that is flush with the surface. The NGS (or its agent) set this mark in 2004 to replace bench mark disk X 11 (1933) (PID = KG0312), and the disk is stamped X 11 RESET 2004. It is in neither the NGS nor Geocaching databases. To reach from the intersection of US Highway 283 and US Highway 24 in Hill City, KS, go north on US Highway 283 for 5.05 miles to the intersection with V Road and the disk on the right in the northeast angle of the intersection. Recovery of this station first reported at the Geocaching datasheet for bench mark disk X 11, PID = KG0312.
