Before there was a Silicon Valley, there was a Sunnyvale, and Sunnyvale was part of a the valley of the hearts delight - miles and miles of orchards and fruit packers.

That's all gone though. Sunnyvale recently rehabbed a section of their downtown into the Plaza Del Sol, and on the plaza there are 4 larger than life fruits...

They represent 4 of the most commonly grown fruits in the area. The pieces are by artist Gerald Heffemon, made of aluminum, specially painted and coated. Don't they look yummy!
