This handsome clock stands on the southwest corner of N Williams and Brink Streets in Crystal Lake IL. Made by Seth Thomas Clock Co, it is dated 1893 to 1994. I have not been able to find what these dates refer to.

New information 2/29/12
This beautiful clock was erected in honor of the Ben Raue family. Ben Raue, a watchmaker and jeweler came to Crystal Lake in 1893 with his wife and daughter. They had two more daughters and one son. None of the children married. The last Raue, Lucile, passed away on Thanksgiving Day 1994. The dates on the clock reflect the dates the family lived and worked in downtown Crystal Lake.
One half block north of the Raue Memorial Clock, The Flag Store now occupies the building at 69 N. Williams St, which was the home to Raue Hardware and Raue Jewelry for many years.
